  一.Teaching aims

  1. Knowledge aims:

  According to the letter, students can learn to express the completed passages ,understand the writing logic and master the writing skills.

  2. Ability aims:

  Through the writing in the class, students can improve themselves to write the coherent and complete passages, narrate affairs and express opinions.

  3. Emotion aims:

  Students can have more interests in writing the short dairy in English.

  二.Key points and Difficult points

  1.Key points:

  Master the writing methods ,form the writing logic and use the writing skills.

  2.Difficult points:

  Teach the students how to use the effective sentences to complete a coherent composition.

  三.Teaching Methods:

  Imitation and innovation /task-based teaching method

  四.Teaching aids:

  Mufti-media/ a letter

  五.Teaching procedures

  Step 1.Greeting and lead in

  1.Greet to students as usual.

  2.Lead-in:show a letter of my friend,and ask some questions:

  Q1: How many ways to connect with your friends?

  Q2: Would you like to write to your friends?

  Step2. Pre-writing

  (1)Prediction :

  Show the letter on the screen,and let Ss to guess the topic of this letter.

  (2)Analyze the letter(format/logic...)

  (3)Discussion:

  Q1: What are the differences among the form of letter and the passages?

  Q2: How many people are here and who is the writer?

  Q3: How many new words and phrases in the letter?

  Q4: How to write a completed letter and understand the writing logic?

  Step3. While-writing

  1.Drafting:

  1).Planning the form and structure of the letter.

  2).Outlining(discuss the structure and language in groups).

  3).Stress the words and tense.

  2.Editing:

  1).Organizing language (sentence imitation and modification).

  2).Improve coherence.

  3).Using correct punctuation and letter forms.

  Step4. Post-writing

  1).Revise and polish the writing by themselves or with peers.

  2).Check ranging from word spelling, punctuation to sentence structure and paragraph structure, etc.

  3).Share one letter in the class and give some suggestions.

  Step5. Summary and homework

  Summary: pay more attention to write a letter.

  Homework: write a clear reply letter to Tom.

  六.Blackboard design

  Friendship

  Procedures:

  Outlining—Drafting—Editing—Revising and polishing—Check

  七.Teaching reflection
